MAKE WAY FOR JOY.....

When I hear that phrase I think.... "Who is Joy?" Where is Joy headed? What kind of day is Joy having? Does she have a family? Did we go to the same college? Does she deliver my mail? What does she struggle with?
Truth be told... when I hear that phrase I'm starting to think .. .Make way for ME! That is what this blog is about. You, me, Joy, etc.
I decided that if I don't get my weight under control I might not be around to MAKE WAY FOR ... my daughters. This sadden me. This extra weigh I'm lugging around is starting to cause other heath issues.
Are you struggling with something that is getting in the way of your joy? Am I the ONLY one struggling???? Please don't make me feel as though I'm struggling alone... please share!

  1. So i told myself.... I have to get on the ball and take care of myself. I slowly started exercising before Thanksgiving. I pretty much slowed down and stopped up around Christmas and there after. So my plan was to start at the New Year. I've gone to the Gym 10 out of 13 days. I didn't go today because I really needed a day off. I actually missed it today and can't wait to go back tomorrow. So what about JOY for me? Oh my gosh i'm feeling so much better! I'm sleeping better, almost no headaches, very little snoring, and eating less. Did you know that exercise can do all of that?? That is enough to keep me going. I did weight myself and I did loose a 3 # the first week. I decided to weigh myself only once a month. I can tell I feel better and that is what i'm going with for now!

  2. Please know you are not the only one struggling. You are not alone :).

Way to go! To make and keep goals is very admirable. Isn't it amazing how exercising can affect us in other areas of our lives. I think more people would do it, if they truly knew this and experienced it for themselves.

Thank you for reminding me how important joy is. My favorite scripture in the Bible, the one that keeps me going talks about joy (although the word isn't mentioned).

4Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. 13I can do everything through him who gives me strength.(Phil 4:4-7;13)

My other fav is a lyric in one of my favorite songs "the joy of the Lord is our strength" (Nehemiah 8:10)

    Joy is very important!

    Thanks for sharing :)
